About Us

Near the mountains and located along the shores of Lake Hartwell, Clemson offers an idealistic combination of mountain, lake, and urban lifestyles. Home to Clemson Univerisity, locals bleed purple and orange, and game nights are something to behold as the whole town shows its support.

As a visitor, we welcome you to explore our town and the places and events that make us proud to live here. As we say, our city is in season, every season. There's an adventure to be had around every corner. Spend a morning hiking in our foothills, an afternoon paddling on our lakes, and an evening supporting the Clemson Tigers followed by a night out at downtown's latest restaurants and bars. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, Clemson is here to welcome you.

About Clemson, South Carolina

Who We Are

Established in 2011, Visit Clemson began as a destination brand under the stewardship of the tourism department at the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2023, Visit Clemson transitioned from the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce to a dedicated department within the City of Clemson. The primary mission of Visit Clemson is to unlock new economic opportunities in tourism and hospitality. This is achieved by raising awareness of the rich cultural heritage and abundant natural resources that lie within Clemson, Pickens County, and the Western Upstate region of South Carolina. Whether you are seeking outdoor adventures, exploring historical landmarks, experiencing local arts and culture, or simply indulging in the warm hospitality of the South, we are here to ensure your visit is filled with unforgettable memories. Join us on this captivating journey, where every experience is enriched by the essence of Clemson's soul. We look forward to sharing our vibrant community and welcoming you with open arms.
